As it stood, the temporary office was dated and cluttered.
A full strip out was essential, taking it back to an open shell. We built an office for the Sales Manager, as well as a closed-off set down area for the workshop staff, to avoid crossing through the client area we installed a hatch between the workshop office and manager's office. A new suspended ceiling was installed under the existing mezzanine with LED panels to make the area bright and clean.
To reduce any sound travelling through from the workshop we erected a soundboard partition for the dividing wall that went to the underside of the warehouse ceiling to make sure it would not creep though over the top of the mezzanine.
Feature walls were used as pops of colour as well as graphics and signage to emphasise that corporate stamp. The project ran smoothly and we were able not to interrupt any bookings that took place over the project period.
White Rose came to us with an enquiry to transform the temporary office within their facility building into a modern customer facing service area. The current building adjacent to this was where the sales staff worked out of but it was now not needed and they wanted to consolidate the team into one workplace.
The requirements were that it needed to be bright, welcoming and on-brand. Proud of being part of Volkswagen, it had to reflect the corporate stamp and professionalism. Within the design there had to be several desks in the customer area as well as a separate office for the Sales Manager. A section needed to be dedicated to the mechanics where they were able to complete admin work, but also pass documents and keys through to the customer service area.
It can be noisy work, so having the two areas divided by just a wall was something we had to be aware of so we could make sure that noise travel was at a minimum. We had to create a space that was customer friendly underneath an existing mezzanine, next door to the workshop…
