How We’re Turning An Office Fit Out Into A Medical Facility For The Berkshire Clinic In Winnersh

This was the exact thinking of one of our latest clients, The Berkshire Clinic. A new start up cardiology clinic, The Berkshire Clinic were seeking a facility that would be suitably located to attract clients and staff. Deciding on the well-known Winnersh Triangle business park, they took up the ground floor of an office building, requiring it to be transformed into a medical clinic that would provide a comfortable and functional experience for clients and employees alike. Having carried out a range of similar projects over the years, the Oaktree team were only too happy to lend our experience, helping The Berkshire Clinic to create their ideal fit out.

How we carried out the project.

The timescale we were given was from early December 2021 to the 2nd week of February 2022. Taking place on a single floor, the fit out required all rooms to accommodate desks and consultation space, medical couches, storage and washing facilities. With privacy being a key requirement, we installed sound proofing throughout.

Aside from the main portion of the floor, we were also required to create a new welcoming reception and large waiting area (with consultation rooms being located around the perimeter). This required a large degree of reconfiguration of the existing fit out, the works of which also included the re-organisation and repair of existing air conditions services.

Completed on time and to the letter, the building was handed over to the client who need it to be vacant for inspection by the Care Quality Commission before it can be approved for use as a medical facility.
