We are pleased to announce that we have been appointed to undertake an office design and build project for SmartSpace Software PLC. Based in their new office facility at The Village (part of the Butterfield Business Park development in Stopsley, Luton), the move will allow the business to meet its need for growth, in one of the fastest-expanding business areas in the country.
SmartSpace are a leading provider of smart workplace software solutions and technology to the commercial workplace, retail and hospitality sectors. Their solutions are designed to support efficiency and innovation to organisations,helping them to maximise space utilisation and occupancy.
Having experienced recent rapid growth, SmartSpace have outgrown their current office set-up in Luton. As such, they were on the lookout for new facilities (and an eventual office design and build) in the local area that would not just meet their needs, but cater for even more growth in the future.
Their solution was a two-storey office building at The Village, one of the area's premier business locations. Situated just off the A505 and 3 miles away from the centre of Luton, this location is close to their previous office, which means minimal change and upheaval for the business and its employees.
The two-storey office building was previously occupied by the University of Bedfordshire and the space was mainly configured as a laboratory and research space. Initial work therefore, will consist of a full rip-out of the existing interior, allowing us a blank canvass to create a bespoke office design and build to help this expanding business to meet its current (and future) needs.
Being leaders in real estate software solutions, the project required a lot of thought from SmartSpace, regarding their technical and IT needs. Using our experience of the office refurbishment industry, we devised a design plan that would demonstrate the latest technology products they have available, which included the creation of client demonstration areas.
